The Student Counselling Unit (SCU) was established with the primary objective of assisting students at the Arab Open University (AOU) in navigating both academic and personal challenges they may encounter throughout their educational journey. The unit is also committed to equipping students with the requisite skills, attitudes, and resources that are integral to their academic advancement and overall success.
Vision: Our vision is to empower students to effortlessly integrate into the university environment by fostering their psychological, social, emotional, and academic well-being.
Mission: Our mission is to offer comprehensive support services in the psychological, social, academic, and career development spheres to all enrolled students for the enhancement of their individual personalities and to facilitate the completion of their academic journey. Additionally, we extend support to the faculty and administrative staff at AOU by offering counseling sessions and a range of educational programs designed to augment their capabilities in student support roles.
