To apply in Arab Open University the following documents are required:
- The application number you received after completing the admission process online.
- Three personal photos.
- Copy of Valid Passport
- Copy of personal identification card.
- Valid residence (for non-Bahrainis).
- Admission fees.
- A copy of Medical Fitness certificate issued from an accredited health center/hospital.
- A copy of the bachelor's degree in English language and literature, or a related discipline.
- A copy of the Graduation Letter from the Bachelor's program in English Language and Literature, or a related discipline.
- A copy of the official academic transcript of the Bachelor's Degree.
- Certificates must be attested by the Secretariat General of the Higher Education Council if they are issued by a private university in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
- All university graduates from outside the Kingdom of Bahrain must attest the Bachelor's Degree and the last page of the transcript from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country from where the BA degree was obtained, the country's embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
- Accredited official secondary school certificate (the secondary school certificate and transcript of all semesters issued by the Examination Directorate in the Ministry of Education (ensuring that the name on the certificates matches exactly the name in the passport) taking into consideration the following:
- If you graduated from a private school in Bahrain: you should submit the certificate and transcript of all semesters attested by the Directorate of Private Education in the Ministry of Education along with an equalization letter issued by them.
- If you graduated from a government school in GCC countries: you should submit the certificate and transcript of all semesters attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country of origin, the country's embassy in Bahrain, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bahrain.
- If you graduated from a private school in GCC countries: You should refer to the university's registration department to receive a letter requesting to equalized your secondary school certificate, then you need to take this letter along with your original certificate and transcript of all semesters (which should be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country of origin, the country's embassy in Bahrain, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bahrain) to the Directorate of Examination in the Ministry of Education in order to receive attestation of the secondary certificate.
- If you graduated from other Arab countries or Non-Arab countries: You should refer to the university's registration department to receive a letter requesting to equalized your secondary school certificate, then you need to take this letter along with your original certificate and transcript of all semesters (which should be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country of origin, the country's embassy in Bahrain, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bahrain) to the Credentials Evaluation Section in the Ministry of Education in Bahrain in order to receive attestation of the secondary certificate.
To be admitted in any Master's program the student should fulfill the following conditions:
- The applicant must hold a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, or a related discipline, with a cumulative GPA of (2.5/4) or higher.
- The BA certificate needs to be approved by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
- The applicant must submit an evidence of passing one of the internationally accredited English language tests, according to the following table:
* TOEFL: Paper based 550
* IELTS: 6.0
Note that the scores for these tests are expired in 2 years. Expired scores cannot be accepted.
The admission application will be cancelled in the following conditions:
- Violation of any of the admission's terms and conditions.
- If the accepted student did not register any course during his/her first semester in the university.
Payment of Fees:
- Can be done by contacting the Finance department
- Installments are not allowed during the first semester of admission.
