Dear Student,
Considering the importance of educational packages as one of the main pillars of the independent education system and the orientation of the blended education system applied at Arab Open University, the Department of Purchases, Educational Materials and Stores provides this comprehensive guide which contains useful information and data regarding the regulations and instructions related to these packages.
At the beginning of each semester of every academic year, the Purchases, Educational Materials and Stores Department announces the schedule for the collection of educational materials on the university's official channels, according to the following terms and conditions:
1. Educational materials are collected from the Purchases, Educational Materials and Stores Department.
2. The fees for educational materials cannot be paid in installments; they must be paid in full upon registering for the course.
3. Educational materials fees are non-refundable except in exceptional cases (details in point number 9).
4. If Business Administration and Information Technology students register for a course consisting of two parts (Part A & Part B), the fee for the educational material becomes due for both parts upon registration for the first part, and the educational material is delivered to the student complete for both parts at once. This does not apply to the English Language and Literature Faculty.
5. If a student re-registers for any course due to failing it or in order to improve their academic outcomes, no additional fees will be charged for the educational material, as the previously obtained educational material may be used. However, if the current version is updated or if the student wishes to obtain new educational material, they must pay the specified fees.
6. The student is not entitled to return the educational material or claim a refund if they change their major programme, or if they withdraw from the course.
7. The student is entitled to return the educational material and get a refund in case of inappropriate academic advising or if the Admissions, Registration, and Examinations Department canceles the course.
8. The student is entitled to purchase new educational material and pay the fees at the Financial Affairs Department.
Important Note:
The students must adhere to the timeframe specified by the Purchasing, Educational Materials, and Store Department for collecting the educational material. The right to claim educational materials lapses after the specified date.
