President of the Arab Open University meets with the outgoing WHO Representative in Bahrain
Dr Najma Taqi, the President of the Arab Open University, met with Dr @ tasnimatatrah, the outgoing WHO Representative in Bahrain, and congratulated her on her role and efforts towards advancing health and well-being in Bahrain.
The WHO Representative in Bahrain provided a briefing on WHO’s work on the ground and highlighted the role of universities in promoting and protecting the health of students and staff, and in creating health-promoting working, learning and living environments.
Universities are a great resource and partner for health in local, national and global communities, and are vital towards achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
