The Arab Open University (AOU) held a grand ceremony to celebrate the graduation of its 17th cohort of students at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The event was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Higher Education Council, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the AOU Board of Trustees, as well as several dignitaries, officials, invited guests, and proud families of the graduates.

In his speech, Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, wishing them continued success in their future endeavors. He praised the Arab Open University's role in preparing qualified graduates from the Kingdom of Bahrain, highlighting the vital contribution of higher education institutions in supporting national development.
His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal commended the Kingdom of Bahrain—represented by the Ministry of Education and the Higher Education Council—for its commitment to investing in the higher education sector. He emphasized Bahrain's strong support for developmental plans within academia, reflecting the country's belief in the pivotal role of education in driving comprehensive national progress.
Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Zakri, President of the Arab Open University across the Arab region, affirmed the university's dedication to continually developing its academic and training programs. He noted that these efforts are aligned with global trends and labor market needs both locally and internationally, aiming to empower graduates to contribute effectively in various fields of national growth.

Dr. Najma Taqi, President of AOU Bahrain, expressed her pride in graduating a new group of students from diverse disciplines. She emphasized the university's growing legacy of successful alumni, many of whom have gone on to occupy prominent positions in both the public and private sectors. She also revealed that the university is considering the introduction of new academic programs, pending approval from the Higher Education Council.

In a heartfelt address, the graduates expressed deep appreciation and pride for their educational journey at the university, offering thanks to the faculty and administrative staff for their support.
The ceremony featured a video presentation titled “Begin Your Journey to the Future," followed by the honoring of top-performing students and the distribution of graduation certificates to the 600 graduating students.
