Arab Open University Organizes Cultural Visit to Bahrain National Museum in Celebration of National Charter Day
In celebration of National Charter Day 2025, the Arab Open University (AOU) in Bahrain organized a cultural trip for students and alumni to the Bahrain National Museum on Sunday, February 16. The initiative aimed to foster national awareness, strengthen cultural identity, and promote active engagement in national celebrations.
The visit offered participants an opportunity to explore Bahrain's deep-rooted history and vibrant cultural heritage, enhancing their sense of belonging and pride in the nation's achievements. It also served as a platform for interaction between current students and alumni, encouraging the exchange of experiences and strengthening community ties.
In line with the university's commitment to inclusivity and cultural dialogue, the event also welcomed members of the university's international community, giving them insight into the Kingdom's historical and cultural legacy and encouraging cross-cultural understanding among students of diverse backgrounds.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Najma Taqi, President of the Arab Open University, extended her heartfelt congratulations on the 24th anniversary of the National Action Charter. She described the Charter as a pivotal moment in Bahrain's modern history, praising the overwhelming popular support it received, which reflected the unity and aspirations of the Bahraini people.
Dr. Taqi emphasized that the National Action Charter has paved the way for major national achievements over the past two decades, strengthening democratic values and driving progress across various sectors. She added that its principles have contributed to enhancing Bahrain's development, stability, and leadership in the region. She concluded with a prayer for continued success for His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, wishing him guidance and prosperity as he leads the Kingdom towards further progress and accomplishment.
