The Arab Open University participates in the 6th Youth Entrepreneurship Forum ‘MicroShabab’.
The Arab Open University participated in the 6th Youth Entrepreneurship Forum, "MicroShabab", held at the University of Bahrain from October 1st to October 3rd. The university participation stood out notably with an innovative project developed by student Muhammad Fakher Yassin, titled The Voice Glove. This project aims to facilitate communication between individuals with hearing and visual impairments and those without such disabilities.
The project addresses communication challenges by designing a device that translates hand gestures into sounds, making it easier for people to understand sign language. Additionally, the system features a tool that converts voice into written text, specifically aiding individuals with dual disabilities. The project leverages technologies such as Raspberry Pi and various sensors to provide a cutting-edge solution that improves the lives of people challenged with disabilities.
This initiative reflects the university ongoing efforts to foster invention and entrepreneurship among students, while enhancing its role in the academic community by creating an educational environment that promotes and appreciates creativity and innovation.
