Vatel Bahrain and Arab Open University Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Academic Cooperation
Vatel Bahrain and Arab Open University – Bahrain have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation and exchanging academic expertise and knowledge, while supporting students and developing joint educational, training, and research initiatives.
Sheikh Khaled bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, General Director of Vatel Hotel & Tourism Business School Bahrain, said: “The hospitality industry is evolving rapidly, creating greater demand for professionals who combine strong academic foundations with practical experience and the agility to respond to changing industry needs. Through our collaboration with the Arab Open University, we aim to bring together the strengths of both institutions to advance education and research, address emerging industry challenges, and develop talent capable of raising service standards and strengthening the competitiveness of Bahrain's tourism and hospitality sectors."
For her part, Dr. Najma Taqi, President of Arab Open University – Bahrain, expressed her appreciation for the signing of the MoU with Vatel Bahrain, emphasizing that this step reflects the commitment of both institutions to strengthening academic cooperation and providing valuable opportunities for students. She noted that the MoU opens new avenues for cooperation in academic and student exchange, training, and scientific research, enhancing opportunities for students and academic staff to benefit from the expertise and resources available at both institutions.
The MoU reflects the commitment of Vatel Bahrain and Arab Open University to establishing effective academic cooperation and developing joint initiatives and programmes that serve students and the academic community. It also contributes to enhancing the quality of education, training, and scientific research, in alignment with the needs of the labour market and the aspirations of the higher education sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
