Arab Open University Launches ‘Renewed Goodness’ Initiative Inspired by Prince Talal’s Humanitarian Legacy
Building on the humanitarian legacy established by Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in promoting a culture of generosity and social responsibility, the Student Council at the Arab Open University, under the supervision of the Students Affairs and Graduates Department, organized a Ramadan initiative titled “Renewed Goodness” to support underprivileged families during the holy month of Ramadan.
The initiative aims to broaden the circle of giving, reinforce the concept of generosity, and foster social solidarity, contributing to supporting families in need and helping them meet their essential requirements throughout the blessed month.
As part of the initiative, a delegation from the Student Council visited the Isa Town Social Charity Society on Monday, 2 February 2026, to deliver a financial donation. The visit was attended by Dr. Hasan Razzaqi, Head of the Students Affairs and Graduates Department, who emphasized the importance of engaging students in volunteer work and enhancing their community role.
During the visit, students learned about the society’s objectives and charitable programs that support underprivileged families. The visit also included an orientation tour of the society’s premises to understand its operations and services, further strengthening the partnership between educational and community institutions.
This initiative is part of the Arab Open University’s ongoing efforts to support student activities with a community impact, promote a culture of volunteerism and sustainable development, and reaffirm that generosity is a fundamental pillar of development and progress.
