The Student Affairs and Alumni Department at the Arab Open University (AOU) – Bahrain organized a ceremony to honor outstanding students for the 2024/2025 academic year on Thursday morning, October 23, 2025. The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of Dr. Najma Taqi, President of the Arab Open University, with the participation of members of the academic and administrative staff, as well as students’ parents.
The ceremony celebrated students’ achievements during the past academic year, recognizing their excellence in both academic and extracurricular fields, including academic distinction, student activities, volunteer work, and university competitions.
The event aimed to motivate students to continue their journey of success and creativity, promote a spirit of positive competition and university belonging, and reflect the university’s vision of empowering its students to become exemplary models of excellence and contribution.
The recognition covered several categories, including academic excellence, achievement in academic and student competitions, Student Council members, distinction in volunteer work and campus activities, and football and basketball players for their outstanding efforts in supporting university events and representing their fellow students.
In her speech, Dr. Najma Taqi praised the students’ accomplishments, emphasizing that the ceremony embodies the university’s ongoing commitment to supporting and encouraging talented individuals to pursue their paths toward excellence. She also commended the role of parents in motivating and supporting their children to achieve success.
