As part of its ongoing professional development initiatives aimed at enhancing practical and administrative skills, the Training, Continuing Education, and Community Service Department at the Arab Open University – Bahrain organized a workshop titled “An Overview of Project Management" on Thursday, October 16, 2025, held at the university auditorium.

The workshop targeted students, graduates, faculty members, administrative staff, and members of the local community interested in project management. It aimed to provide participants with a clear understanding of the fundamentals of project management and its comparison with business management, while also exploring the evolution of project management methodologies over the years and their growing importance in modern workplaces.

The three-day workshop covered key topics including the differences between project management and business management, an overview of various project management methodologies, and an introduction to international professional certifications such as PMP, their levels, and costs. The program also included an interactive survey to gauge participants' interest in pursuing professional credentials in project management.

The workshop sought to raise professional awareness and encourage participants to advance their career paths, while reinforcing the Arab Open University's position as a leading institution in applied education and professional training in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This initiative is part of the university's continuous efforts to empower individuals with advanced practical skills and equip them with the tools necessary to thrive in dynamic and evolving work environments.
