Arab Open University is Granted Institutional Accreditation by Bahrain Higher Education Council

Arab Open University, Bahrain branch, has announced meeting the requirements for institutional accreditation, with the approval of the Higher Education Council to grant the university institutional accreditation for a period of 4 years starting from the date of the decision. This has come subsequent to Decision No. 571/2021 issued by the Council based on the recommendations of the Academic Accreditation Committee at its fourth session.
Dr. Ghurmallah bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, Director of Arab Open University, Bahrain branch, expressed his gratitude to the Higher Education Council, the Ministry of Education, the Supreme Council for Education and Training Development, and the Education and Training Quality Authority for the tireless efforts they pay in order to develop higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and to advance them so as to compete with higher education institutions; regionally and internationally.
He also pointed out that the university always seeks to implement the highest standards of quality of education and learning, and to achieve the best quality concerning all programs and specializations offered by the University in order to become in line with the holistic educational process of higher education in the Kingdom of Bahrain; in implementing the vision of the government to promote the future of education in the Kingdom, so as to advance its economic development; pertinent to Bahrain's economic vision 2030. As such, our slogan becomes "Towards a high-quality and high-performance education system that meets the requirements of sustainable development, and that aspires to invest in the minds of Bahraini citizens and, therefore, to advance the Kingdom of Bahrain up to the ranks of the developed countries."
The Director of Arab Open University asserted that this achievement reflects the university’s commitment to the standards of quality assurance that are adopted locally by Bahrain Higher Education Council and the Education and Training Quality Authority, as well as internationally through scientific cooperation with Open University UK (accredited by higher education in the United Kingdom). He finally highlighted the role of both administrative and academic staff members of the University, their efforts for meeting the requirements of the Institutional Review Board, and their pursuit of the University’s advancement.
