The Arab Open University – Bahrain hosted its End-of-Year Gathering for the academic year 2025–2026, bringing together academic and administrative staff in a celebratory atmosphere that reflected appreciation, unity, and institutional pride. The event was held in recognition of the outstanding efforts and contributions of the university community throughout the academic year and as part of the university's commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and achievement.

During the ceremony, the university presented the President's Award alongside the AOU Excellence Awards 2025–2026, honoring outstanding individuals and teams across various categories.

The Employee of the Year Award was presented to Eng. Eslam Shalaby and Ms. Tanaji Omer.

The Researcher of the Year Award was presented to Dr. Salman Jan.

The Administrative Staff of the Year Award was presented to Ms. Tahera Alsehlawi, Ms. Amal Yusuf Thani, Ms. Muneera Saif Arafa, Ms. Khadija Alkhaja, and Mr. Abdulla Abdulaziz.

The Head of the Year Award was presented to Ms. Eman Redha, Ms. Mead Shams, Ms. Amina Taqi, and Ms. Dana Louri.

The Academic Staff of the Year Award recognized Dr. Mohammed Redha, Dr. Asdaque Hussain, Dr. Hilda Brainee, and Dr. Vinodh Kesavaraj.

The Scientific Research Conference Excellence Award was presented to Dr. Hassan Razzaqi, while the Academic Advisor of the Year Award was awarded to Mr. Ahmed Kananah.

The Team of the Year Award recognized two outstanding teams. The Information Technology Team comprised Mr. Mahmood Mustafa, Ms. Maryam Alkhan, Mr. Afkhan Haneef, and Mr. Hani Abdulla. The Operations, Maintenance, and Facilities Team included Eng. Eslam Shalaby, Mr. Alex Hadab, Mr. Marvin Garcia, Mr. Noil Dajpin Bait, Mr. Kumar Dura, and Mr. Musab Dhaif.

The Bright Ideas Committee Award was presented to Ms. Amina Almowali, Ms. Fatima Sayed Ali, and the Human Resources Team, represented by Ms. Fatima BinHindi and Ms. Hessa Alzayani.

As part of the AOU Excellence Awards 2025–2026, the Administrative Excellence Award was presented to Mr. Sayed Helal Mohamed and Ms. Maryam Alkhan, while the Academic Excellence Award was presented to Dr. Habil Slade and Dr. Mahmoud Akber.

Dr. Najma Taqi, President of the Arab Open University – Bahrain, expressed her pride and appreciation for the achievements of the university community throughout the academic year 2025–2026. She commended the outstanding efforts that contributed to advancing the university's mission and strengthening its culture of excellence and innovation. She emphasized that these accomplishments reflect the dedication, collaboration, and commitment of the university's academic and administrative staff and reaffirm the institution's ongoing pursuit of excellence.
