Introduction to the Second Semester Internship Program and Employability Readiness Support in Collaboration with Injaz Bahrain
The Internship Unit, in collaboration with the Training, Continuing Education, and Community Service Department at Arab Open University – Kingdom of Bahrain, organized an orientation day for the Second Semester Internship Program on Thursday, 26 February 2026, at the university theater. The event aimed to introduce students to the importance of internships, their requirements, and their role in bridging academic knowledge with practical application, thereby preparing students for the labor market and enhancing their professional readiness.
The orientation day included a comprehensive overview of the internship concept, the requirements for successfully completing the program, the roles and responsibilities of students and host organizations, and the importance of commitment and professionalism throughout the internship period.
In collaboration with Injaz Bahrain, a free workshop entitled “Launching Toward Success: Enhancing Your Employability” was organized, targeting students who wish to strengthen their readiness for the job market.
The workshop focused on practical aspects, including preparing a professional résumé, building self-confidence, developing skills for successfully passing job interviews, and identifying core competencies required for employment across various sectors.
The Internship Department also welcomed Coach Aysha Danesh from NGN Institute for a valuable session on career growth and essential skill development. We are also pleased that internship opportunities were offered by NGN to our students, which we greatly appreciate.
This event is part of the Arab Open University’s ongoing efforts to support its students academically and professionally, empower them with practical skills, and enhance their competitiveness and future employment opportunities through effective partnerships with local community institutions.
