The Training, Continuing Education, and Community Service Department, in collaboration with the Faculty of Computer Studies, at the Arab Open University – Bahrain, organized an awareness session titled “Introduction to CISCO CCNA Certification”, delivered by Dr. Mohammed Asdaque, on Wednesday, 4 February 2026, at the university campus.
The session targeted students, graduates, academic and administrative staff, as well as members of the community interested in information technology and networking. It aimed to raise awareness of the importance of the CISCO CCNA certification and its role in building a strong foundation in networking and IT careers.
During the session, participants were introduced to the structure of the certification, its learning outcomes, potential career pathways, registration procedures, training opportunities, and recommended study resources. The session also highlighted the value of professional certifications in enhancing employability and professional readiness in the rapidly evolving IT sector.
This initiative reflects the Arab Open University’s ongoing commitment to supporting students and graduates, strengthening their career prospects, and aligning academic learning with labor market requirements through specialized awareness and training programs in modern technical fields.
