Arab Open University Organizes Workshop on English Language Teaching Practices and Graduate Opportunities
The Training, Continuing Education, and Community Service Department at the Arab Open University – Kingdom of Bahrain, in collaboration with the College of Language Studies, organized a workshop titled:
"Shaping the Future of English Language Teaching: TEFL Practices and Master’s Opportunities at the Arab Open University" on Thursday, 29 January 2026, at the University.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Afrah Ali, Assistant Professor at the College of Language Studies, and targeted English language teachers in public and private schools, newly qualified teachers, graduates of English, Translation, and Linguistics programs, as well as individuals interested in the master's program in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at AOU.
The workshop focused on the latest methodologies in English language teaching, supporting participants’ ongoing professional development, while highlighting the structure, objectives, and academic and career pathways offered by the Master’s program.
This initiative is part of AOU’s efforts to promote professional development, support lifelong learning, and build effective partnerships within academic departments, contributing to the advancement of English language teaching in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
