The board of trustees of the Arab Open University held its regular meeting, chaired by Ms. Mona Almoayyed, and attended by a number of board members and the senior management team. During the meeting, a set of strategic agenda items were reviewed and discussed, reflecting the university's future direction toward academic excellence and sustainable institutional development.
The board reviewed the approved organizational structure of the university, which aims to enhance the efficiency of administrative and academic performance and to achieve integration among the various sectors in line with best practices in university governance.
The board also reviewed the financial performance report for the year 2024–2025 and the approved budget for the 2025–2026 academic year, emphasizing the importance of the sustainability of financial resources to maintain the quality of education and the continuity of development in the university's services and programs.
In the context of achievements, the board reviewed the most prominent accomplishments of the past academic year, which included the development of academic programs, the expansion of international partnerships, and the enhancement of digital initiatives and blended learning—reflecting the university's commitment to providing high-quality education that meets contemporary needs.
The board also discussed new academic programs, that are approved or pending approval, as well as the university's status in local and international accreditations and academic reviews, reaffirming its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
