Explore the World of AI: Machine Learning Workshop for Beginners at Arab Open University
As part of its training programs aimed at spreading technical knowledge and raising awareness of the latest technological developments, the Arab Open University's Department of Training, Continuing Education, and Community Service organized a workshop on Sunday, 21 September 2025, titled “Introduction to Machine Learning in AI for Non-Specialists", delivered by Mr. Ali Abdulkarim at the University Theater Hall.

The workshop targeted university students, faculty members, administrative staff, alumni, and interested members of the local community. It aimed to simplify the concepts of machine learning and artificial intelligence, introducing participants to the basics of supervised and unsupervised learning and highlighting the role of structured and unstructured data in developing AI systems.

During the session, the use of Python in machine learning applications was demonstrated, along with practical examples illustrating how AI can be applied in daily life and various professional fields. The workshop's interactive format allowed participants to explore the vast potential of these modern technologies without requiring advanced technical backgrounds.

This event is part of the university's ongoing efforts to promote lifelong learning and enable members of the academic and local community to acquire new knowledge and digital skills, in line with the evolving demands of the labor market and the accelerating pace of digital transformation.
