Under the patronage of HE Mr. Ali bin Shaikh Abdul-Hussain Al-Asfoor, Governor of the Northern Governorate, the governorate organized a campaign to clean an area in A'ali in cooperation with the Municipality of the Northern region, Yurpasar Cleaning Company, A'li Club, A'li Charity Association, and Arab Open University.

This campaign came as part of the celebration of the first Gulf Day for Healthy Cities, held under the slogan “Healthy Cities for Sustainable Development", which falls annually on March 1-7.

 The clean-up campaign in A'ali has successfully helped remove the rubble, waste and plastic waste in particular, which is considered one of the biggest causes of environmental hazards. Furthermore, it has helped stop the spread of disease vectors such as rodents and mosquitoes. Hopefully, it is expected that this area will be an outlet for the residents and a suitable site for their various activities.​
