MOHAMMAD RIYAZ BELGAUM received his master’s degree with a specialization in computer applications in 2001 and a Master of Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science and Engineering in 2006. He completed PhD degree in information technology from Universiti Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2022 and completed postdoctoral research from Multimedia University, Malaysia, on the project titled "The application of blockchain for secure communication in WSN" in 2024. He has CEH v13 certification from EC-Council and is an Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional and an Oracle Database 11g Program with PL/SQL Certified Associate.
Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at Arab Open University, Bahrain. His areas of interest include cybersecurity, cloud computing, software-defined networking, mobile ad hoc networking, wireless sensor networks, the Internet of Things, and bytecode analysis. He has authored more than 50 research articles published in SCI and Scopus-indexed journals and peer-reviewed Scopus conferences. Also, he is an IEEE senior member and editorial board member of Scopus-indexed journals, along with being the technical program committee chair for various IEEE and Springer conferences. He has vast teaching experience across various countries, with much focus on research.
