This page summarizes the of alignment for the programmes offered at AOU-Bahrain. Two alignment frameworks are considered, which are:
1- The Frameworks for Higher Education Qualifications of UK Degree-Awarding Bodies (FHEQ): The framework is utilized by UK awarding bodies to ensure consistency in academic standards of the offered programmes at the various degree levels. All the programmes offered in partnership with Open University in the United Kingdom (OU-UK) is aligned to FHEQ.
2- The National Qualification Framework (NQF) – Kingdom of Bahrain: The framework is an instrument for the classification of qualifications according to a set of criteria for specified levels of learning achieved facilitating alignment with international framework. All programmes offered by Higher Education Institutes operating in the Kingdom of Bahrain must be either placed or aligned with the framework.
It is worth noting that BQA website provides a comparison page that provides an indication that facilitate the comparison between levels of NQF and FHEQ.
