Arab Open University Organizes Graphic Design Workshop in Collaboration with the Bahrain Deaf Society
The Training, Continuing Education, and Community Service Department at the Arab Open University – Bahrain, in collaboration with the Bahrain Deaf Society, organized a specialized training workshop titled "Graphic Design for the Deaf", held over two days on October 23 and 30, 2025, at the university campus.

The workshop was delivered by Ms. Amina Al-Muwali from the Faculty of Computer Studies, and targeted individuals with hearing disabilities, with the aim of empowering them to express themselves visually using simplified graphic design tools, enhancing inclusive communication skills through art and design, and providing them with practical skills that support their integration into the creative job market while encouraging innovation.

The workshop included a series of practical activities and hands-on exercises that enabled participants to explore new artistic expression techniques and apply design methods that help transform ideas into visual works, all within a learning environment that accommodates diverse communication needs.

This initiative aligns with the Arab Open University's commitment to community engagement, and its dedication to supporting various segments of society by providing educational and developmental programs that promote inclusion and uphold the principle of equal opportunities. It also reflects the university's efforts to expand its cooperation with national organizations and institutions that contribute to positive social impact.
