“Your Kindness Makes a Difference”: A Humanitarian Initiative Spreads Warmth on Campus
On Thursday, June 12, 2025, the Student and Alumni Affairs Department at the Arab Open University launched a humanitarian initiative titled “Your Kindness Makes a Difference." The initiative aims to promote a culture of kindness and mutual appreciation among members of the university community.
The event featured interactive activities, most notably writing messages of gratitude and encouragement and placing them on a symbolic “Tree of Kindness." White roses were also distributed to participants as a gesture of appreciation for their role in fostering a positive atmosphere.
Ms. Amina Al-Muwali, the University's Ambassador of Kindness, remarked, “Kindness doesn't require great effort, yet it leaves a deep impact. We believe that a kind word can change someone's day—or even their life."
The initiative received an enthusiastic response from students, who expressed their happiness and appreciation for the positive spirit it fostered across campus.
This initiative is part of the university's broader vision to instill human values and create an inspiring learning environment grounded in respect, tolerance, and mutual support.
