The Arab Open University participated in the Gulf Cybersecurity Forum 2025, which was held in Doha on January 15-16, 2025. The forum witnessed wide participation from Gulf universities and institutions, with the aim of enhancing innovation and cooperation in the fields of cybersecurity.
The university's participation was distinguished by prominent contributions from its students and faculty members. Dr. Hassan Razzaqi presented a research paper that addressed the factors that determine the security index of electronic services from the users' point of view. Student Muhammad Sharif also participated with a distinguished research poster under the supervision of Dr. Hassan Razzaqi, while student Manaf Majed excelled in the interactive maneuver "Capture the Flag", which tested his technical and practical skills.

These efforts resulted in the university students winning the Best Research Poster Award, reflecting the academic and research excellence enjoyed by the university and its students. Dr. Hassan Razzaqi was also selected as a member of the jury for research posters.

Dr. Hassan praised the students' performance, stressing that these achievements represent an honorable model for the university's role in preparing a distinguished generation capable of facing future challenges in technical fields.

This participation reflects the commitment of the Arab Open University to its pioneering role in promoting scientific research and developing technical skills, which contributes to achieving Bahrain's vision in the fields of cybersecurity and digital innovation.
