The Department of Students Student Affairs and Graduates at Arab Open University in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in cooperation with the academic Faculties and Administrative Departments, organized on Thursday, March 09 2023 a virtual meeting- remotely-under the title “Let's Get Together", where the meeting was held by students, academics and administrates, in addition to members of the Student Council.
A number of representatives of academic Faculties participated in the meeting which dealt with many important issues and areas of interest that would benefit AOU students.
Professor Ghada AbdulHafeez, at the Faculty of Language Studies, started the first section under the title (the Student's Responsibilities), which addressed the most important points pertinent to the student's responsibilities, including: Commitment to the registration periods announced in the academic calendar, commitment to attending class meetings, commitment to following up with the e-learning management system in accordance with course requirements, and adherence to all rules and regulations of the University.
After that, Mr. Ahmad kananah, a lecturer at the Faculty of Information Technology, dealt with the second section, titled "Scientific Integrity in Assignments and Examinations", where he presented the evaluation method used by the University in assignments and exams, and represented the most important methods that must be followed to avoid high levels of plagiarism when writing assignments and exams, and the correct way to answer citing scientific references to avoid problems related to plagiarism and cheating.
