Secretary General of the Higher Education Council Meets with the President of Arab Open University
Her Excellency Sheikha Rana bint Issa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Secretary General of the Council of Higher Education, met with the Vice-President of the Board of Trustees of the Council of Higher Education, Dr. GhurmAllah bin Abdullah Al Ghamdi, president of Arab Open University, Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, Her Excellency congratulated the University and all its members on their achievement of Saudi recognition, commending the University's endeavours to achieve its objectives and to improve its reputation locally and regionally, as well as the University's efforts to promote scientific research.
Her Excellency, moreover, assured that Bahrain's Higher Education Council is also working to stimulate higher education institutions to work continuously in the field of scientific research and to promote international participation in order to promote higher education institutions and to place Bahrain alongside the developed countries in the field of education, scientific research and innovation; the matter that is deemed to enhance knowledge economy.
For his part, Dr. GhurmAllah bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, President of Open Arab University, appreciated the efforts and continuous concern of the Council of Higher Education, commending the Council's role in supporting the University in achieving its aspirations and objectives.
The recognition of Arab Open University, Kingdom of Bahrain, among the recognized universities recommended for Saudi students to study, comes after the General Directorate of Certificates Equalization in the Ministry of Education, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, decided to recognize the University and the qualifications it offers to its students in bachelor's and postgraduate programs.
