Dr. Sherine Badawi is an Assistant Professor of
Management where she specializes in Human Resources and Organizational Behaviour.
She earned her Ph.D. in Management from Ain Shams University in Egypt, where her
thesis focused on Employees’ Obligations and Psychological Contract, gaining
valuable experience in employees’ behaviour within organizations. With a strong
commitment to both teaching and research, Dr. Sherine brings a dynamic blend of
academic rigor and practical insight to the lecture.
Dr. Sherine’s research interests focus on two
main topics: (1) Management topics which includes (Entrepreneurship, Human
resources, Organizational behaviour, Business Ethics), and (2) Education and skills for
business students. The objective of research is to understand and close the gap
in literature existing in organizations from the perspective of Management. In
addition, analysing the market needs and employability skills of qualified
business graduates, as a multidisciplinary and integrated approach reaching
logical results and recommend solutions and ways of development. Within
the previous framework of research, she has more than 20 papers published in
regional and international Journals (Scopus Indexed) that discussed several
Management issues concerning Arab Region. In addition, the papers were actively
presented at international academic conferences and her research activity was
honoured numerous times within research forums.
In teaching, Dr. Sherine is dedicated to
fostering critical thinking, ethical leadership, and practical problem-solving
skills among students. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses, emphasizing
experiential learning and real-world application. Dr. Sherine is also engaged
in collaborative research, working with organizations to bridge the gap between
academic theory and business practice.

As a faculty member in the field of Management
for the past 21 years, I have had the privilege of educating, mentoring, and
inspiring students in several areas. Currently serving at the Arab Open
University, my academic journey is rooted in a strong belief in experiential
learning, critical thinking, and industry relevance.
Over the years, I
have been actively involved in curriculum development, research projects, and
academic conferences, contributing to the continuous improvement of management
education. My research interests include Human Resources and Organizational
behaviour, and I have published in many high indexed international journals.
Beyond lectures, I
have worked closely with industry professionals to bridge the gap between
theory and practice through seminars, internships, and guest lectures. I have
also mentored students on academic projects, Master thesis, PhD seminars, star-tup
ideas, and career planning. This role has not only allowed me to grow
intellectually but also reaffirmed my commitment to shaping future leaders who
are ethically grounded and strategically capable. Throughout my academic
career, I have had the opportunity to serve in various institutions, where I
engaged in a range of teaching, research, curriculum development and
administrative activities.
