The British Council held an awarding ceremony for the students of Arab Open University who contributed in the success of the “Youth Skills and Disability", which was held last month under the auspices of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee and the British Embassy in Bahrain. It is worth noting that a number of university students took part voluntarily in all the activities of this project. The project organizers praised the commitment and dedication of the university students during their participation in this project. The Director of the British Council thanked AOU for providing this opportunity for its students and its continuous support for the local community organizations by encouraging voluntary work among the students and staff. For his part, Dr. Hisham Eltahawy, Head of AOU Training and Community Service Center, referred to the importance of such activities for students and their openness to new exposure of experiences, which contributes to refining their personalities in general. He pointed out that the university is keen to actively participate in all activities with various local community organization to enhance its role in the society.
