Discussing “COVID-19 and online learning: Critical insights for academic achievement” in the SRC Seminar
In the Scientific Research Council (SRC) 2nd seminar held on 11 Nov 2021, Dr. Soleman Mozammel, assistant professor from the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), gave a presentation titled “COVID-19 and online learning: Critical insights for academic achievement."
In his presentation, he defined the concept of academic achievement and how it can be enhanced particularly during extraordinary times like COVID-19. He also shed light on the literature underlining students being self-efficacious. Drawing from this, he recommended that students could boost their academic achievement through enhancing their IT skills. He added that the research proposes that instructors' achievement goals for their students can also be instrumental in furthering the students` academic achievement.
