Dr.
Hilda Brainee is a dedicated and passionate Assistant Professor specializing in
English literature, currently serving at the Arab Open University (AOU) in the
Kingdom of Bahrain. With a strong commitment to enhancing student learning and
achievement, Dr. Hilda’s teaching philosophy emphasizes clear communication and
hands-on demonstration, fostering creativity and confidence among her students.
Dr.
Hilda's academic journey is marked by extensive experience in teaching English
literature courses at various educational institutions in India. She began
her career in the GCC as a lecturer and department coordinator at Northern
Border University in Saudi Arabia, where she successfully managed the Prep-Year
Department from 2013 to 2015. She joined Arab Open University, Bahrain in 2016.
she has progressed from a part-time lecturer to her current role as Assistant
Professor, where she teaches core courses in English literature and serves as a
coordinator for the Writing Center She was also the coordinator of the Speaking
Center from the 2020 to 2023 Fall semester.
Her
key achievements include designing assessments for course implementation,
serving as Branch Course Coordinator for multiple literature courses, and
actively participating in internal committees to enhance student support. Dr.
HIlda is also recognized for her research contributions, with several scholarly
publications focusing on themes in literature, including post-colonial
Literature, Feminist literature, comparative literature, and Creative writing.
Dr.
Hilda is a certified TESOL trainer and ISTD-Associate Trainer. She has
participated in numerous professional development workshops and conferences,
further enriching her expertise in education.
