Arab Open University in the Kingdom of Bahrain celebrated the ninety-third Saudi National Day, which was held under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Ghrumallah bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, in the presence of Sheikh Khalid bin Isa Al Khalifa, Chairman of The Folk Poetry Society, and the participation of a group of Bahraini and other GCC poets, AOU academic and administrative staff members, in addition to a large number of university students, On Sunday, September 24th 2023, at the University campus.
The ceremony included many activities and events, which began with the art of the Najdi Ardha, the Bahraini Ardha, in addition to other national songs.
The Folk Poetry Society's participation enhanced the ceremony as it included a lovely poetry evening hosted by poet Hanadi Al-Jowder, featuring the participation of poets Mohammad Bashir Al-Anzi and Mohsen Al-Hamri.
The President of the University expressed his great pleasure on the Saudi National Day and extended his sincere greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, and all citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing that this celebration stems from the University's keenness to share their joy with the Saudi brothers and sisters.
Dr. Gharmallah bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi added that such celebrations reflect the University's keenness and commitment to enhance cultural communication and national spirit among its students, and to develop strong relations between the Saudi and Bahraini people, highlighting that national celebrations are an integral part of Bahraini celebrations.
