On February 19th, 2024, the Faculty of Language Studies (FLS) at the Arab Open University-Bahrain, in collaboration with the Student Affairs and Graduates Department, successfully hosted its third Career Talk event.
This event aimed to bridge the gap between the academic experience and professional life by providing a platform for FLS graduates to share their success stories and motivate current students. Three of the FLS's most accomplished graduates were invited to share their unique career journeys. Mr. Hasan Shehab, currently a bilingual copywriter at a leading marketing agency, emphasized the significant impact of the FLS education on his English language proficiency, a crucial asset in his current role. Mr. Jameel Alali, an English teacher, captivated the audience with his story of pursuing his passion for aviation before embarking on a rewarding career in education. Finally, Mr. Hadi Haidari, a tutor at FLS, engaged the audience by discussing the challenges he faced in choosing a career path and ultimately finding his calling in teaching.
