Graduates of the Cambridge International Certificate in Education and Teaching Program.
Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Jumaa, Minister of Education and president of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, in cooperation with the Embassy of the United States of America, Arab Open University celebrated the graduation of 41 students from the Cambridge International Certificate in Education and Teaching Program.
At the beginning of the ceremony, In his speech, His Excellency praised the University for taking the initiative to start the professional training program “Cambridge International Certificate in Education and Teaching” carried out by the Continuing Training and Education Centre, and Community Service in cooperation with the trusted partner “Cambridge International Foundation”.
He asserted the desire of the Ministry of Education and the Higher Education Council's Board of Trustees to encourage such high-quality projects and programs provided by private higher education institutions, as it serves the Bahraini students and provides them with various studying opportunities; building their careers and and other paths for learning.s
On this occasion, the President of the University, Dr. Ghurmallah Al-Ghamdi, expressed his great pleasure with such fruitful cooperation which provides Bahraini labor market with high-level graduates as he said: “Arab Open University in Bahrain has taken the responsibility to cater for its graduates in terms of preparing them for the labor market and providing them with job opportunities as much as possible.”
“This program is compatible with the initiative of Arab Open University in Bahrain to prepare its graduates for the labor market, which began in 2020”, he further added.
He also added: "This program was sponsored by the U.S. Embassy, our trusted partner in Bahrain, as a result of a full proposal submitted to the Embassy, and this program was implemented in cooperation with our international partner “Cambridge International Education” as Open Arab University is an accredited center for its professional programs.”.
He explained: “This program focuses on preparing graduates for teaching purposes, and so far we have trained 41 graduate. We hope that their number will increase in the future, and we have trained more than 150 students in the skills needed for the labor market in general.”
“I am pleased to be here today to participate at Arab Open University that worked closely with our team”, Said the Deputy Head of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Bahrain, David Brownstein. “The trainers were keen to work closely with all participants and to get the best training possible during many months of intensive work”, he further added.
