The Arab Open University in the Kingdom of Bahrain has signed a memorandum of understanding with one of the training institutes in the Sultanate of Oman to provide consultancy services in the implementation of a number of training and development projects in the Sultanate. This memorandum is in line with the general policy of the Arab Open University in enhancing the various aspects of cooperation with the governmental and private institutions of society in all its affiliated countries, which provide learning and training opportunities for the citizens of these communities and reach the optimum goal for the sustainable development of these communities.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Director of AOU in Bahrain, Dr. Ghurmllah Al-Ghamdi, and the Executive Chairman of International Gulf Institute, Dr. Ahmed Al-Farsi, in the presence of Dr. Hisham El-Tahawy, Head of Training and Continuous Education and Community Service Center, Mrs. Fatima Bin Hindi, Head of Human Resources and Mrs. Sakina Nasser, Head of Financial Resources. Dr. Al-Ghamdi stressed on the importance of such cooperation to enhance the role of the university in the local and regional community, and this memorandum is a step in a series of future cooperation with many bodies and institutions. From his side, Dr. Al-Farsi expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Arab Open University for accepting the cooperation, and he expressed his confidence that MOU will be followed by many cooperation between AOU and IGI to take advantage of the huge human and administrative capabilities of the University and he considers the University as a house of expertise in various fields.
