Dr. Abdulrahman Alawadhi has received a fellowship certification in teaching and learning support in higher education from the Higher Educational Academy, UK to be the first academic member to receive this certificate at the Information Technology and Computing College in Arab Open University. Dr. Alawadhi has obtained this certificate after fulfilling several requirements, including the ability to develop teaching methods and support colleagues and help them to develop their teaching style. He has also employed and developed non-routine methods of teaching according to modern theories, through which students are keen and helped to apply best academic practices to achieve continuous professional development. The doctor said that this certificate will lead him to continue in the field of self-development and hopes to transfer his experience to his colleagues in the academic field and encourage them to go into this experience. Dr. Alawadhi was previously attended a workshop on preparing for The Professional Certificate of Academic Practice (PCAP) which was designed and delivered by staff and consultants from the Higher Education Academy (HEA) in cooperation with The Higher Education Council (HEC), Ministry of Education in The Kingdom of Bahrain.
