His excellency Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Al Mulla, the chairman of the Representatives Council, delegated his first deputy, Mr. Ali bin Abd Allah Al Arady in attending the graduation ceremony of the eleventh batch of AOU BA students on Thursday 14th December 2017. The event was attended by academic and administrative staff and families of the graduated students.
The ceremony started with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the speech of Dr. Khalddon Al Roomi , director of the AOU branch in Bahrain in which he expressed his pleasure that the AOU graduation ceremony coincide with the National Day celebrations and the anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the Throne.
Dr. Khaldoon also expressed his happiness that the renewal of the UK Open University accreditation for the AOU for the next 5 years went smoothly without any remarks since the AOU has undertaken the latest technological and educational trends ensuring that the admission ratio of students and their percentage to tutors is adherent to the international guidelines. He added that the number of graduates has exceeded two thousand graduates since 2003 with the clear aim of providing the local labor market and the Gulf region with trained and efficient candidates who possess the latest skills that match the Bahraini comprehensive national development plane.
Dr. Khaldoon also expressed his deep thanks for the endorsement of the for the AOU graduation ceremony which manifests the support of the legislative and executive authorities to the educational entities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Afterwards a documentary was displayed in the memory of Ms. Dalal Abd AL Aziz Buhejji who contributed to the establishment and development of the AOU Bahrain Branch. Mr. Ali bin Abd Allah Al Arady presented a token of gratitude to her family.
At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Ali bin Abd Allah Al Arady Dr Khaldoon AlRoomi delivered the graduation certificates to the 179 graduates in business administration and IT majors.
