STUDENT COUNCIL OF THE ARAB OPEN UNIVERSITY CONCLUDES THE YEAR 2009-2010

The Student Council of the Arab Open University - Bahrain Branch ended its last set of events on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at the university campus. This final ceremony was attended by AOU Director Dr. Samir Qasim Fakhro and Assistant Director of Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Azzam honoring academic staff, members of the Student Council, other committees and the AOU education forum "for their efforts in the service of their fellow students in the field of academia and administration during 2009 and leaving a strong impression in the field of student work which has had a significant impact in the excellence of AOU Bahrain."

The ceremony began with a speech by Dr. Samir Fakhro in which he expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the members of the Student Council, which has played a very active role in the service of students in resolving their academic and administrative issues.

Next was a speech by Dr. Ahmed Azzam, who expressed his pleasure at all that has been achieved during this year of activities and events and the role of the AOU educational forums to create a link between students and the university. He expressed his readiness to serve students with any assistance during their educational journey.

Also at this ceremony prizes were given to the winners of the Ramadan competition which was conducted on the AOU Forum. It included a general knowledge quiz, a design competition as well as a best dish competition for Ramadan.
