Under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology (SCICT), the awards ceremony for the Bahrain eContent Awards ’09 was held on Monday, 16th of March, at Al Taj Hall in the Sheraton Hotel.

Among 400 odd entries, AOU – Bahrain branch was awarded in the category of “E-learning” for excellence in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The branch was one of 24 organizations which were selected as winners.

The winners were distributed over the competition ten categories, which are: eGovernment, eHealth, eInclusion, eScience, eBusiness, eBanking, eMedia, eEntertainment, eLearning, and eCulture.
